You Can Take It With You: Making Your Vinyl Collection Portable

In the modern age of digital everything, convenience is a huge factor to many in their purchase decisions.

Streaming services allow instant access to virtually everything the music world has to offer – no commitment required. Bandcamp and iTunes allow people to download the music they do want to own directly to their smartphone, which they have on them at all times anyway.

I’ve often heard people object to starting a vinyl collection (okay, habit) because the physical format creates a barrier to the music’s portability, thus limiting the options for the medium of playback.

“Not so!”

Not only are there no such limits, but the ability to have your music in multiple formats is actually one of the many tremendous benefits of a vinyl purchase, and a justification for the premium price.
